Fills for Cooling Tower

MM Aqua is into manufacturing and supply of various types of fill design to suit diffrent water quality. These fill media are manufactured as per international standards meeting CTI recomendation.

Fill media manufacturted by is prefered by all leading consultants like NTPC , EIL, NPC, MNDASTUR , DESIN , FICHTNER , TCE etc and by all coooling towwer OEMs.

Our fill media are exported to countries like Canada , Australia , Malasiya etc. MM Aqua has high production capacity to meet large order Qty in required project schedule.

Almost in all industrial application clarified water is used which allows the use of filmfill. But, in case, where sea water or water with higher TSS, it is prefered, it is advisable to opt for splash fill.

Spalsh Fill :- V bar in 1.2 & 1.5 mm thickness with Circular / Rhombus punch .

Advantage of film fill.

  • Continous Forming : Continous forming process facilitates availability of additional raw material required during flute forming and hence no thinning effect takes place at crests & troughs.
  • Double Edge Folding : MM Aqua's manufacturing technique has the ability to fold the edges of the sheets providing stronger edges, which gives extra protection against rough handling during installation & maintenance. It also protects the fill from erosion.
  • Uniform Thickness : Uniform thickness provides long retention time & also provide uniform time for heat transfer.
  • Longer Length : One major advantage of Longer length is that, it allows the water to be inside the fill media for maximum time. It also facilitate to decrease the number of support beam thus inturn reduces the pressure drop & also reduces the cost of construction.

In Conventional vacuum forming requires anchoring both ends of the sheet, with resulting material stretch. Weak spots -even pin holes are the inevitable results. Vacuum-formed sheets suffer from unpredictable thikness due to material stretching during the process. Thiknesses will diminish by an average of 30%. By leaving one end free during continuous roll forming, MM Aqua avoids the undesirable results.

Length requirement can be met between 800mm to 2000mm
Module width depends on the no of sheets that go into making of module.
Module height could be either 300mm or 600mm becouse these are the only standard sheet widths available.


Splash Fill / SPLASHdek:

Splash bars are normally used throughout the height of a cooling tower
are usually equipped with holes of the same size . SPLASHdek is now available in two separate hole shapes i.e. diamond shape & circular.
